The Ideal Maglock For Larger Doors

The Standard Monitored or Unmonitored Maglock offers an impressive holding force of 545kg (1200lb), making it ideal for larger doors that require enhanced access control. Coming in a range of options (monitored, unmonitored and door status output).

This is a surface-mounted, “face to face” lock that offers up to 545Kg (1200 pounds) holding force, and is recommended for applications that require higher levels of access and egress control, such as fire doors and emergency exit doors. The maglock is designed for single, out-swing doors. For installation on in-swing doors, narrow-style frames, and frameless glass doors, additional brackets are required.

What is the Difference Between Monitored And Unmonitored Maglock?

The maglock is available with optional monitored and door-status outputs. The monitored output provides a signal to a monitoring system to indicate when the maglock is activated or deactivated, whereas the door-status output provides a signal to a monitoring system when the door is opened or closed.

The standard monitored or unmonitored Maglock is powered by 12 VDC or 24 VDC, and has a voltage tolerance of ±15%. The current draw is 500mA @ 12VDC (at temperature 20°C) or 350mA @ 24VDC (at temperature 20°C). The operating temperature is -10°C to 55°C (14 to 131°F), and the humidity is 0% to 95% non-condensing. The typical surface temperature when powered is current temperature plus 20°C. The holding force is up to 545kg (1200 Lbs).
