Operating on a voltage range of 12-28 VDC, the BVS-SHR-2700 series is self-regulating and offers a voltage tolerance of ±10%. The current consumption varies depending on the model and temperature. For the BVS-SHR-270030, the pull-in current is 1.7A (1.1A @ 24VDC) while the holding current is 0.5A (0.32A @ 24VDC). The BVS-SHR-270035 has a pull-in current of 1.9A (1.2A @ 24VDC) and a holding current of 0.55A (0.35A @ 24VDC).

Designed to withstand various environments, the BVS-SHR-2700 series operates within a temperature range of -10°C to 55°C (14 to 131°F) and is resistant to humidity up to 95% non-condensing. The shearing force of these shearlocks is remarkable, with a capacity of up to 900 Kg (2000 lbs) in shear.
